Chapter Zero Türkiye, TÜSİAD and Özyeğin University CEEE / EÇEM – Center for Energy, Environment and Economy organized a meeting titled “Raising Awareness and Capacity on Energy Efficiency” on December 4, 2024 at TÜSİAD Headquarters.

During the meeting, the role of energy efficiency in the transition to a low-carbon economy, its contribution to lowering energy costs and decreasing dependency to external sources were discussed. Energy efficiency and decarbonization strategies in industry, the effective role of CEOs in this process and the importance of life cycle assessment were addressed. In addition, the training program planned to be realized in cooperation with Chapter Zero Türkiye, TÜSİAD and EÇEM in order to create competent human resources on energy efficiency and decarbonization was introduced at the meeting.

Among the speakers were Cevdet Alemdar, Chair of Chapter Zero Türkiye Steering Committee and TÜSİAD Board Member, Head of Energy, Environment and Climate Change Executive Committee; Durmuş Topcu, Alternate Member of TÜSİAD Board of Directors; Canan Özsoy, Member of Chapter Zero Türkiye and TÜSİAD; and Prof. M. Pınar Mengüç, Director of Özyeğin University Energy, Environment and Economy Center.
