On the occasion of World Water Day, an event focusing on the blue economy was held on March 18, 2025, in collaboration with Chapter Zero Türkiye and TÜSİAD, with the content support of Stantec.

The event opened with a speech by Cevdet Alemdar, TÜSİAD Board Member, Chair of the Energy, Environment, and Climate Change Round Table, and Chair of the Chapter Zero Türkiye Steering Committee, followed by a keynote speech by Dr. Murat Sarıoğlu, Regional Director for Water at Stantec Middle East and General Manager of Stantec Türkiye.

Moderated by Dr. Nurşen Numanoğlu, Deputy Secretary General of TÜSİAD, the panel featured leading industry experts: Çiğdem Arpat Koçak, Corporate Sustainability Manager, Akkök Holding; Olivia Becher, Climate Adaptation and Nature Finance Specialist, EBRD; Ayla Öngören, Chair of the Water Working Group, TÜSİAD; Zeynep Özbek, Environmental Director, Beko; Figen Şişman Nayal, Project Manager, Stantec; Dr. Feridun Tur, Head of Economic Research, TSKB shared their knowledge and experiences on a wide range of topics from best practices in the industry to international financing, regulatory changes and technological developments. The event provided participants with an in-depth perspective on the blue economy and the protection of water resources, while emphasizing the importance of cross-sectoral cooperation.
